The Skamonics play a unique and floor-filling mix of authentic 60s jazzy ska, two-tone and completely unexpected covers.

A driving rhythm section provides a firm foundation for three blazing horns and a top female vocalist.

We play a wide mix of gigs, but specialise in weddings and functions and can provide our own PA and DJ to cover all your music needs. We are happy to play across Sussex whether Brighton, Eastbourne, Worthing, Bognor or East Grinstead. We are a great Sussex wedding band.

Ska appeals to a wide age-range, without becoming dull and inoffensive. It’s ideal for any event where there will be a mix of people – the Skamonics themselves have members in their 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s. And fo course we are more than happy to play for a room full of ska fans.

Ska evergreen “I’m in the Mood For Love” is a classic first song for any wedding.

Everyone remembers the two-tone classics from bands such as Madness and the Specials tunes to which our our tight horn section add a jazzy twist.

Our covers of tunes as diverse as Kylie Minogue’ s Can’t Get You Out of My Head, Tears for Fears’ Enola Gay and Nina’s 99 Red Ballons extend our appeal further.

And of course we play old and new ska classics. From the 1960s we play My Boy Lollipop , and more recently Paolo Nutini’s Ten out of Ten.
