Jazzy ska from its vintage 60s roots, 2-tone and unexpected covers
The Skamonics are rooted in the ska, rocksteady and early reggae of 1960s Jamaica. Together since 2004, they have an extensive repertoire that takes in authentic 60s classics, songs from every decade given a ska treatment for the very first time and a good helping of two-tone.
Top jazz horn players, strong vocals and a driving rhythm section give the Skamonics a distinctly different take on songs known and loved by all ages.
From West End clubs to East London pubs, festival stages to weddings and vintage days the Skamonics have filled dance floors and won repeat bookings – even playing at the Jamaican High Commission.
