Update: Here’s some lovely feedback from the client:
Thank you all so much for coming all this way. Everyone has been saying how brilliant you all were and loved the music.
Yesterday was the hottest day of the year. It was a perfect day to play a party in a garden deep in the country near Petworth in Sussex – easy to find on some sat navs, challenging for others.
The photo shows the set up – a dance floor on the grass and a platform for the drums and vocals.
It was still warm when we finished playing at 11pm after extending our second set to keep people dancing.
It was isolated enough not to worry about noise and neighbours, and our PA was just right for this kind of gig.
This is more or less what we played as we threw in a few encores to keep the second set going:
- Chinatown
- Guns Of Navarone
- Latin Goes Ska
- Tide Is High
- Mood For Love
- My Baby Jst Cares 4 Me
- Work Song
- Mambo Number 5
- Enola Gay
- Mad World
- London Calling
- Monkey Man
- Price Tag
- Red Red Wine
|
- One Step Beyond
- Mountain King
- Come Dancing
- Simmer Down
- 10 Out Of 10
- Monkey Man
- 99 Red Balloons
- Tainted Love
- Rudy A Message To You
- Enjoy Yourself
- Baggy Trousers
- My Boy Lollipop
- Night Boat To Cairo
- Gangsters

We played for Mike’s 50th birthday party at a pub called the Horse, near Waterloo.
The rumours that it was called the Cow until recently are entirely untrue.
It was a lot of fun, and the dancing in the second set suggested that the guests enjoyed it too. There were certainly no long faces,
Mike liked it too:
“I had a great time – everyone loved the band, thanks so much. All the best. Mike”
There’s a special gold start for Leah, as she came from her sick bed.
We don’t have any photos, but this is what we played.

A nice email from the Ritzy:
Thanks so much for Saturday, I came in to watch you guys and had a great boogie, you’re a great band!”
Let’s hope they’ll have us back as it’s one of our favourite venues.

Here’s a message from our last wedding gig
Dear Skamonics
We wanted to say a big thanks for your efforts at our wedding – you were fantastic and everyone mentioned what a good choice of band we had made – so thank you all.
We’re glad you enjoyed it. We know what a responsibility it is to play on that special day, and it’s always great when it goes down well.

Here’s what the client for our dancing in the rain gig has said:
One of the most memorable moments was coming out after dinner worried about finding you playing in the rain on your own only to find 20 odd people with brollies stomping around in the mud.
I knew then that we had the right guests and the right band. Thank you.
Well, we can’t help with guests, but we are always ready to do the music.

A message from our client from the weekend:
Thank you so much for playing on Saturday. You were brilliant.
Even your errant keyboard player Leo had to admit it!
We enjoyed it too!
