It’s on Friday February 1st at the Cavendish Arms in Stockwell. It looks a good music friendly venue, and we will be playing as one of a number of bands during the evening sometime between 8pm and 11pm. We don’t yet know the other bands or running order yet.
The pub is 128 Hartington Rd, Stockwell, SW8 2HJ. The nearest tube is Stockwell, but it’s also pretty near Vauxhall for people coming in on Waterloo bound mainline trains.
When we have more info we will paste it here – and of course we will refer to it endlessly on our Facebook page.
It’s at the Sebright Arms in Bethnal Green. This is their website. Here’s a map. Bethnal Green is the nearest tube. Cambridge Heath and Hoxton are also nearby stations. It’s usually possible to park nearby.
It’s on Saturday. I think we might have said that. Saturday December 15th in case there is any confusion.
Doors will open at 8:30 for the basement venue where we will be playing. Of course the pub upstairs will be open before that, and is well known for good food.
It costs £5 to get in. That all goes to the two bands playing. We are promoting this ourselves.
There are two bands. You have probably worked out that one of them is the Skamonics. The other band is, our good friends, the Electric Cucumbers. Our guitarist Frank becomes their bass player, Professor Frank. We expect a costume change.
It’s equal billing and both bands will play for an hour. The Skamonics will play first at 8:45 (prompt!). The Cucumbers will follow at about 10pm.
It’s Christmas. We will probably play a ska’ed up version of a cheesy Christmas song for your delectation. We promise not to wear Santa hats. But that doesn’t stop you.

We had fun playing the Ritzy in Brixton last week.
So did the audience from the amount of dancing that went on.
We played our version of Chariots of Fire – which of course is now Chariots of Ska – for the first time – and revived our version of Dr Who which we haven’t played for ages.
This is what I think we played. And there are some photos below.
